Question Coil Packs

help my beetle keeps blowing the coil packs and was wondering what is causing it? im trying to help my uncle out as its his new beetle. if you need anymore info i will post it up here after i talk to him to get the info

VW is replacing them free of charge. I just got mine done, I am the 3rd owner of an '03 w/ 77K miles at the time. VW acknowledges they are problematic and has an updated set for you. Hopefully you have the failed VW coils yet?
