I've been around before, had a Cyber Green 02 TDI I called Prudence. Had to trade her off but I'm about to get an 06 Harvest Moon! I pick it up tomorrow and I'm soooo excited to be back in a Beetle! I do have a question...will a fog light assembly from 01-05 fit on an 06? In all the looking I did tonight, they appear to be the same unit. Thanks!

PixyKat! Welcome back! I wondered what happened to you. Where did you pick up your Harvest Moon? I still have mine.

In answer to your question, the answer is no. Everything about the fog lights is different. Different mounting brackets, different lights and I think a different harness. The switch inside the car is the same but that's about it.

You might be able to fine a wrecked 06 but probably not around here. I haven't seen any on the yards. Mine has fog lights if you need to see what they look like.

Have a great day! Looks like our weather is going to be crummy but it won't last hopefully.

Hey Susan! My husband's aunt and uncle own a used car dealership here in town and they just got the beetle in Saturday and now it proudly sits in my garage!

kcfoxie - No, this one's a 2.5 gas beetle. My 02 was a TDI, and I loved it, but I'll take any bug! lol!

Good to hear you are back in a NB. I think you will like the gas engine. We have loved ours. Can't wait to see pictures.

No, I think the last year was 2005 but I could be wrong.

Either way, nice to be back in a bug huh? I couldn't imagine having to trade mine off. We're tooooo attached. I would need to know who owned him and would have to visit from time to time. lol Like joint custody or something haha

It's been a long time without my bug. Prudence had an unfortunate meeting with a curb. For some insane reason we decided it was better to trade out than to repair. That and I opened my big mouth and said I would give her up if that's what it took to get hubby his Mustang. What a wife I am huh? Be careful what you say in earshot of your cars people!

Who is servicing your car? Who serviced your TDI? I'm about ready to find somebody local.

Well, for the damage estimate on the TDI I took it to Moss Body Shop on 26th just behind Market St. United on Georgia. On the 06, I'm taking it to Lubbock for the sensor replacement. Vintage Auto Off Soncy by the UA Theater works on imports. Check with them. My mother-in-law uses them for her Mercedes and has been happy with their work.

Hello PixeyKat75. Nice user name. And welcome to the board. I am new here myself. But sadly not a beetle owner yet. But hope to be soon!
