Default Buying at an auction

Greetings folks. I'm buying a car by Friday, and found an 05 2.0 pretty close to me at an auction. I have a low budget and unfortunately my credit isn't all that great. So I'm probably going to give the auction a try cause I've heard of people getting great deals there. It ends on Friday but I'm going tomorrow with my brother (mechanic) to have it checked out before I commit. http://easyexport.us/carfinder/vehic...=4C054BDEC9D5B

You folks have any auction tips, experiences you can share?

I'd buy it, if the price was right. With 60k miles on it, still a lot of life left in the car.

Good luck with the auction. Don't get your hopes up too high. Right when you think you got it, wham, the big used car dealer( like JD Byrider) slaps a large bid on it. They are known for that, because, they know they can sell it, due to a lot of high risk credit people out there. I have a friend who owns a small used car lot and it happens to them all the time.

It is extremely important you stick to your budget. It is too easy to get caught up in the excitement and spend too much. You have got to be willing to let the car go if it exceeds what you can afford. Just keep saying to yourself that there are always other Beetles if this one leaves your budget. You have got to be able to walk away!
