Hi, I'm a new NB owner too. Also I'm new to this forum as well. I'm from Camp Lejeune, NC. Nice to see so many NC'ers on here, just wish some were closer!

Welcome to this Forum. We just got our VW-NB back in April, so we're still sorta new , too. Checkout the thread on ToD 2011 under events. You should plan to attend this Mega weekend GTG of NB's at Fontana Dam, NC.

Later,

It's Deals Gap, NC. The Tail of the Dragon, 318 curves in 11 miles. Very fun, just make sure you've got good rubber. And don't brag about your having never lost a tire on a trip, because you'll lose two. Ask me how I know!

Default Fresh new MODS!

I finally got a few mods done to my Bug!!!
First and biggest mod today was the bike roof rack! Its a THULE rack with two bike carriers. The base rack is the Bug specific rack from THULE. Ill get a pic with the bikes loaded, maybe tis next week!

Second is a little advertisement that I ordered from Marc in the decal thread! THANKS Marc! I appericate all the work on these decals, they look awesome!

Third I put my stamp of approval on the back drivers side glass. I served 4 years active in the Infantry. Semper Fi

I then rounded up my volunteer to help me out with a little dash wipedown and rear view mirror cleaning! She is my CoPilot afterall.....and a Super one at that! (sorry for the sideways picture)

Hope ya like! More to come!

My husband did his in the ARMY.. He was combat engineer. He has a tattoo that says (Hope I can spell it right) ES Say Onces. With a castle. He has told me what it means but I can't remember. Lance does the work on my Smurfette so I don't really ask him to help me clean her up. But he did rinse her off the other night for me to take her up town since she had been sitting for a month and got all the bird poop off.

Thats awesome he did time in the Army! The Engineers would give us some demolition classes once in a while when I was in the USMC, that was part of our MOS, Demolition!
My Mom remarried a MajGen (Ret.) and he talked me into getting back in after being out for 2 years, so I joined the NC Army National Guard. I did 2 years in Raleigh/Sailsbury, NC working on Apache attack Helicopters. VERY cool and complicated machines! I got out with a second Honorable, had a fun time flying in Blackhawks and served with some awesome people!

Thats awesome! A good friend of mine is in the Marines...he's stationed in Hawaii though (luckyyyyy!). He's on his 3rd deployment right now

So you know Salisbury a bit? I went to Catawba! Now I live in Raleigh. And the hubby is working on a project for Corpus Christi for testing helicopter parts. Its crazy, scary stuff, those helicopters.

We really do need a good NC meet. Have you made it over to NCDubs.org at all? We're doing a charity event in November: NCDubs Gives Back - Nov 14 (11am - 3pm) - NCDubs | VW Audi Porsche Performance News & Tuning Forums
