Default Yikes

Hope to get a nbc soon now.
But now after reading so many things about the nb and the nbc like speakers popping out door handles coming off among other things. It worries me. But in spite of all this I still want one. I'd like a 2006 nbc.
My question are the nb really this bad? Please any help not sure what though.
Thank you all for any insight.

Those issues you mention are rarities. Nothing bad has happened to my car that was a recall or defect. Everything else has been wonderful.

Go get one now!!!

It's like the old adage: The squeeky wheel gets the grease.

You should read the "I Love My NB/NBC" threads, too. These cars sometimes cause us headaches, much like small children. But we still love them.

Good luck with your quest for a New Beetle/New Beetle Convertible. They're so much fun, it should be illegal!

Welcome to the Org!

2000 with 53k miles, 2 CEL's for oxygen sensors and...something else that wasn't a huge deal I agree with FineExampl, my car's been fine and I don't think the terrible things happen as much as you think

Mine has none of the plastic trim issues that seem to be complained about from time to time. It's fun, comfortable, great on gas, and quick too. What more could you ask of a car?
