Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I am the proud owner of a very abused 99 gl that I bought from a mechanic that sold it to pay for work done and storage. I've already learned so much from here and can't wait to learn more!

Welcome!!!

So glad you joined the party!

Thanks for rescuing that lil '98. Keep perusing the site- you'll find many who've done incredible beetle resurrections; fellow orger, Opelmaina comes to mind- Click here to check out his beetle.

Don't be a stranger- post often

Thanks folks! I thought it was going to be a rough road getting the bug running, as the mech said it was a bad computer. Just a little lurking and a little wiring diagrams and Lincoln is alive! It was just a bad ground in the tb circuit. Hello to all from a little town close to chattanooga tn!

Welcome to the Org!!

And congrats on an easy fix

I bought my '01 with a "bad computer" as well and it turned out to just be coil packs. good for me though

Make sure to share your progress with lots of pics.
