1999 Check Engine Light ON AGAIN

I bought my 1999 Beetle in April. The check engine light came on about a week later. We had the codes read and replaced the Co2 sensor/ The light went off, for about a day. I rode around with it like that for about 3 months, then took it to a VW dealer. They came back and told me it was a bad temperature sensor and replaced it. The light was off, for less than a week.

I have searched online and see that A LOT of owners have check engine light problems.

Can anyone tell me if this problem can be fixed and the light be off - for good?

I love my car, but this makes me want to re-sell it and get something else.

The light will stay off if the problem is fixed. A new problem can occur which will trigger a CEL, but thats the case with any car.
