shifter questions
Hey y'all i am a new beetle owner. 2000 2.0 automatic beetle 97000 miles. This is my daughters car i just get to maintain it! Here is my problem.
if the car sits for a while and i go out to start it up and try to put it into reverse or drive it won't go. I am pressing on the break peddle and pushing in the button to move the shifter but is is locked. i will then turn my steering wheel to left and right as far as i can go and then press the brake peddle and push in the button to move the shifter and then it will move into gear. Can anyone tell me what is going on here? i am at a lost? Thanks in advance for your help. ibnole
