Default Hello from Tampa

I am new to this site and I am glad I found it. I recently purchased a '99 Beetle 2.0 (automatic transmission)from the local auction and I absolutely love this car. After driving it for about a week the check engine light popped on and I took it to the local autozone to has the code checked. It came up throttle positioning sensor malfunction. The part can not be purchased from the a parts store. My question is, Has anyone out there ever replaced this part and how expensive is the repair?
thx

Welcome to the Org!

If you do an advanced thread search, you should find a number of threads on the replacement of the throttle positioning sensor. But it may not need to be replaced, what was the code? There are lots of sources besides retail at you local Dealer. Many online Dealer Parts Depts and online OEM Parts Resellers.
When you get DTCs, you can look them up here-
