Used to be a jeep guy
Hello, my name is Keith and I just bought my first VW Beetle, i used to be a jeep guy (i know, big leap) but I must say, I love my new beetle much more. I bought it Feb-14th and no probs, I just bought some awsome rims and a new sound system, i love it. 2001 Black GLS. The funny thing is that when i test drove it my girlfriend, who always said she would never drive one, came along, she loved it and bought a 2000 red GLX 1.8T. Crazy.

And congrats on the double purchases! When I needed a replacement for my high-mileage Buick, my wife suggested I test drive a Beetle - a brand new '01 GLX turbo. Whoosh! I was hooked! Within a year, we had one in our driveway and I've had a blast with it ever since. If you're into the cruise scene, check the org for a club nearest you.

Isn't it funny how the Beetle just 'grabs' some people?
I've loved the NB since they came out in '98, but had never even sat inside of one before we test drove the one we bought last fall. We traded our daughter's '73 Beetle for the '99. My husband (Heavy-duty picukp driver type) and I just love it and we will be adding another to our family sometime this year. Welcome to the org! You won't find a better place for information and support for your new Bug family!

 I bought mine sight unseen from California. (off my dad)The first time I drove it was when I picked it up from the shippers in Detroit. I got on I-75 south & I was hooked. I love this car. Now I want to get my duaghter one!  Where's Camden?
