Default I'm new and I'm working on pictures

Hi, I'm just getting started here. I have a 2003 NBC and have owned VW's for quite some time. I'm having a strange creaking sound from the front end when just tooling around a parking lot or driveway. I wanted to know if anyone else has this problem? It happens only at low speeds when turning, braking, etc. I'll get some of my old VW's and more of my 2003 posted soon.

I'm a freak for Volkswagen.

Thanks and this is an amazing site. I'm glad I found it.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

I have creaks on my 02. Have for quite some time. As far as i'm told, it's nothing. I've had no trouble with it though as i imagine you haven't, right?

Welcome aboard Eastsider!

I think that the front end creak may be a problem. 4 weeks ago it was not there. 2 weeks ago it was not very noticible. Last week it was intermittant. This week it is loud?

Hi and welcome. I'm sure someone will have an answer for your creak soon. This is pretty funny but, could it be your seat? My passenger seat creaked for about 6 months. But only when someone was sitting in it. I know it sounds stupid and it probably isn't your problem I just wanted to point out that you never know what the answer will be. It was good for a laugh anyway.

Thanks for the fast help. It really is a front end noise though. It gets really loud when I open the window.

If this helps. I'm being told that it is the rubber bushings on the front and possibly even the rear sway bars.

The creaking noise went away after 2 days of sunshine.
