New Member!
Hi and hello to everyone out there.
I just recently bought a NB! I love it, it's fun to drive and it scares the heck outta me! It's an '01 and has 45k miles on it, great condition, silver... after reading much of the problems other people have had with their NB I'm constantly worried something will go wrong with mine. In fact this morning I popped the trunk and tried to close it and it wouldn't latch i drove to work the whole way with the trunk light on. I kept pressing down on it and it wouldn't close! is this an electrical problem? fuse? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, welcome to da org! yeah the latch thing can sux. I just put my hand right below the vdub emblem and firmly sham it. I think theres a thread around here somewhere explaining how to adjust the latch. I've been to lazy to try it tho.

Welcome to the org!
 I was going to do a search for you to help with your trunk latch problem but I see you posted a thread about it. No worries! Im sure someone will help you out there. I haven't had a problem with mine (knock on wood) so I cant help ya as far as that.

Welcome home!
Congrats on your new family member. Be sure to post some pics.I also purchased a '01 NB and have had no major probs yet. It has 95k miles on it and I have only had to replace the MAS sensor so far. Minor items I'm getting to now, but from looking at it you would never know. Yours must be a 1.8t if it scares the heck outta ya.?

Just give your trunky a few jolly good light slams and it should be gud! I always slam mine down kinda hard and it sticks  I also have an 01 non turbo it doesnt scare me I love my buggy
