Hi from Dayton, OH!
Hi Everyone --
I just want to introduce myself. I have a 2006 Gecko Green Package 2 automatic New Beetle, and I l*o*v*e her! This is my 2nd New Beetle. My first one was a 2002 Marlin Blue Pearl Turbo Automatic w/cream leather interior/cold weather package (he was a lease -- and boy could he move!). I loved that car in a way that no person should love an object -- (though I think I'm talking to a group of people who understand Bug love)! We parted ways after the engine coil recall. I was so fed up with the problems -- and the fact that my dealer spent more time with my car than I did that I rashly ended my lease and got a PT Cruiser instead (a move I instantly regretted). Hubby, good man that he is, kindly took the PT off of my hands b/c he knew how much I missed my Beetle. I got BellaLuna (that's her name) in December 2005. I put down a deposit and they built her for me. And wouldn't you know it -- 1 week after driving her home, she ended up back at the dealer for a month while they tried to figure out where that "shusshing sound" was coming from (the cause was a kink in the coils that surround the steering column -- if you want more details, I can find the invoice from the dealer). It took 4 weeks to diagnose (they eventually consulted a VW specialist from HQ in Auburn Hills). So, I've come to realize that driving a Beetle (and loving it) requires patience and commitment (a good relationship with your Dealer helps, too). BellaLuna is a purchase and I am looking forward to many years with her.

 . Welcome to the ORG !! I have to agree with seemkay there are ALOT of Friendly and Helpful Peeps on the org . Post some Pictures of your wonderful beetle . and Keep a look out in the Event Announcements and Planning midwest section for GTG's in ohio and surrounding states They are a BLAST !!! BTW Love the Color  Cheers
