I have scoured the forum looking for information on my Beetle that I just got. I got it pretty cheap because there was some problems with it.

I am getting 5 codes. All codes were there before I bought the car.

1. P0510
2. P0117
3. P0121
4. P0341
5. P1544

I am currently working on the p0341 code.

Since I bought it I have replaced the timing belt, water pump, and tensioner and verified that all the timing marks line up perfectly. So I start doing voltage checks and when testing wires 1 and 3 on the cam sensor connector I am only getting 1.98v.

I am unable to find any further diagnosis on this problem. If anyone has any info that can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a wiring diagram for the cam circuit somewhere? With me getting only 1.98v to the cam sensor I am thinking that it is either bad wiring or bad ecm. I am not sure which pin on the ecm connector to test for high resistance.

As far as the vagcom I am looking for someone that has one but am so far unsuccessful. If anyone here is in SALT LAKE and has one that would be awesome.

I REALLY HOPE THAT IT IS NOT A BAD ECU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could call Utah Imports. They specialize in VW's and I know they can do a throttle body adaptation for you. Not syre how much it would be, but they are great people and easy to work with.
