There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Okay, I'm dumb and the HP site is not really helping any.

What's this out of, and do you know what it will fit in?

I'm thinking not. PC number and the clock speed are different. Does that make it a no-go?

Well, I'm gonna say your memory is just too good for me.

Have at it, Gina!

Thank you so much for the offer, Erin!

I have no idea what to do with those I picked up a used Sony Vaio (before you were selling yours Erin or I would have bought yours). Would those work for me? and would you walk me thru installation?

i'm not sure if it would work for you. you would need to know your model and look it up online, or find the specs on your laptop somewhere. i have no idea if this RAM is compatible with anyone's machine. sorry.

There's no easy answer to whether this will work in any given laptop. DDR2 is fairly new, so your laptop can't be more than a couple of years old.

A general rule of thumb is that you can install faster RAM in your computer, assuming that it is the right type of memory. If your computer only supports 333MHz memory and you put 667MHz memory in it, it may work, but you're not getting the benefit of the memory running at twice the speed.

For $6, it's worth a try, if your laptop is anemic... If it doesn't, you can always come back here and have someone else buy it from you at shipping cost...

I have a Powerbook - should I even bother?

Sorry it took so long to respond, I haven't even really researched it yet.

I guess if Gina finds that it won't work I'll follow lmhansen's suggestion and give it a try.

You really seem to want to get rid of this! It's not hot, is it?

i don't have a clue about mac RAM, but my initial guess would be that it wouldn't work.

jacob, how old is your machine?

Macs use the same memory as everyone else. Whether Gina's Powerbook uses DDR2, DDR or even older memory, I dare not guess...
