Guys, I really need your help. My brother went missing Friday and his last known location was Hagerstown. He is severely bi-polar and off meds, he is also an alcoholic and may be suicidal. He was driving my MKV when he was last heard from so if anyone sees my car PLEASE call me immediately at 301-693-1692. Thank you very much.

Excuse my skepticism. Lacking important information, a little too "cloak and 'daggerish' "! What are we not being told here?

Is that the phone # for the Police Dept? Doesn't look like one!
There has been a "Missing Person" report filed with the authorities, right?
You're registered on this site as living in MD, this car is tagged in PA.
Sounds to me like a boyfriend/girlfriend, or ex-spouse thing to me, something domestic related. Maybe an adult parent/child issue where there is not a desire to involve the authorities.
Or perhaps a stalking!

IF this is a legitimate missing person thing, where foul play is suspected, and a police report has been filed, then there is a national alert out this vehicle and tag, and the published number should be the one for the police dept. of the jurisdiction in which the police report is filed, so that if a sighting IS reported, it can be handled in the proper, timely, and legal manner.

The number is to a cell phone.

What kind of missing persons case doesn't give you the name and picture? The vehicle description is but a addition to the real description of the person themselves. We aren't looking for a stolen vehicle afterall - we are looking for a missing individual.

Stop being so dickish about this its kinda serious. Sorry I didn't give more info but guess what I didnt have any more. Adam Wolford(My Friend)car is missing and it just so happens that his brother was the last one in it heading twords Hargerstown this past Friday. He has not been seen or heard from sins as the next post says. Again Im sorry for not putting up more info I didnt have it at the time. I don't know if he has called the police I would asume that he has I am just trying to do what ever I can to help out.

First I will say thank you for at least finding 1 of the Vortex threads with Adam's info. Sorry I can not provide a Picture as far as I know he has no face book page or myspace and to be honest I have never met him before I just know Adam and I know that he loaned his car to his brother last week because of his foot surgery.

Oh as for the tags why dont you try asking Adam why he lives in MD and has PA tags I dont know or care I am just trying to help him A. Find his brother and B. get his car back.

Okay, so this may in fact be a real life situation. With that in mind even more reason for a police report and police dept phone number. They have far more resources for finding the vehicle.

However, "He is severely bi-polar and off meds, he is also an alcoholic and may be suicidal." makes him my wife's twin brother. Tell your friend not to worry, he's laid up somewhere on a binge, as soon as he sobers up he'll be back. Promise. And tell your friend to stop enabling his brother!

Oh, not being "dickish". But, now that I know what is really going on, I can assure you, and you can assure your friend, this is not a big deal (unless of course his car ends up wrecked or someone else is hurt or killed by the car being driven by a driver who is drunk)!

His brother IS on a binge! Dealt with this personally for thirty years. He'll be back when he sobers up or someone will get a call from a jail cell.

Sorry to be so calloused, but this IS the REALITY of the situation. Hope his brother ultimately gets some help! The Dr. prescribing the meds is not that person.
