I think it is beautiful and very creative. Thank you for posting all the photos too.

For the gift cards ... put in envelopes and decorate the envelopes then attached with ribbon to the wreath. Could you put a straight pin or hat pin with pearl in the ribbon to hold it in place????

I was thinking indeed of wrapping the gift cards or just simple surround them by ribbon and just fixture them in the back with scotch tape.
A pin will most likely leave a small hole in the ribbon

Thanks again for the ideas

About a week ago I received a very precious envelop in the mail. The gift cards made it!

I've wrapped them and attached them to the wreath.

This way my brother and his bride have something they can open. The wreath is a gift/wrapper

In the same store where I've bought the bride&groom Christmas ornament I also saw this very cute lip balm.

Then the big issue arrived.

HOW DO I WRAP THE WREATH???

Luckily a friend of the family came to the rescue and advised me to make/buy a box to hold the wreath.
From cardboard I made a box and wrapped it with the same (Christmas)paper as the gift cards are wrapped with.
-hey, it looks fancy right?-

To make it a bit bright I added the green paper. This way the box doesn't have to be closed therefore everybody can see what's in it

Because the bride will get lip balm, I had to get the groom something as well. Here's a small bottle bitters which I've bought on the island of Texel last week.

Both the ornament and the bottle I've secured to the green paper. Just to make sure it will get to the couple in one piece

This is the card I'm going to put with the gift. I find that it matches the gift

This is the final result. The most important thing now is that I don't forget to bring it with me to Germany this Wednesday

The wreath was a hit!
At first I noticed that my gift was very big, as a lot of other people gave them envelopes with money.
They were stunned about the gift cards as they obviously didn't expect to get that!

Now that the leafs are falling it's time to think about making Christmas cards.
For years I've started somewhere in de middle of November, but this year I've started already in September

See my collection as of now.
9 cards are of the same style. It's a set of 3 times 3 cards which I've bought.
It was quite a hassle to glue all the small parts on the card but due to my beloved self-imported tacky glue I could do it

Here are the 9 cards of the sets which I've bought and assembled:

Here are a couple of cards which I've made by my own imagination.

There are a number of cards waiting to be assembled, but I want to do some stitching to them. That's what I've seen on the internet and I would like to have a go at it.

Below you see a photo of some finished Christmas tree balls.
They are glitter stickers with pre-shown holes to punch to do embroidery with.
I've placed the see through glitter stickers on different colours paper and embroidered them with different colour thread. Then I added small round shiny stickers on top to make it look like real Christmas tree balls.
Too bad the photo doesn't show how much it all sparkles.

The stickers are from Starform and are the design: Stitch Design.

Thank you Mary.
This weekend I've visited your website and looked at your creativity and videos.
Today after dinner I grabbed my moms sewing machine and started sewing in paper.
That's something I had not seen before over here, not even on the craft's fair I've been to in September.
It was fun and it give my cards a little 'something'

Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed my blog and videos. I'm a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator here in the states so much of my time is spent being creative and helping teach others too. I haven't done any sewing on cards, but have seen it done. Very nice. I did string art on a number of cards and even taught it at one of my classes. It was a big hit.

Here's some photos of the string art cards:

Those cards look very nice!
It looks like the style which is quite popular over here, although the string, is really string and not as thin as the embroidery silk.
I'm too impatient for the embroidery cards LOL, it takes too much time to make them, but they sure are pretty.
Like this one which I've found on the internet:

Most of my inspiration I get from websites from the USA and not from the Dutch/Belgian styles.
That also makes me curious as to why some styles are global while others aren't

Great cards ... love all the ideas on the internet too.

I've used embroidery floss and also embroidery thread for these. Wall hangings were done with regular string. It use to be quite popular here too.
