Yay! Thank you James!

I for one want to be more crafty but I lack the time to be crafty.
This weekend I've made more than 30 Christmascards, but to make good pictures I need daylight.
So pictures will be taking coming weekend.

that would be consider an "other hobbby" if it's not listed under the main hobby section. Start a thread if you have stuff to share

Because of my neck pain and all that goes with it, I have taken early retirement. My hobby as most of you know is Star Trek, but the hobby part is that I like to make things from scratch. Last Summer I decided to make my basement a "Ten Forward" or a Star Trek room. I decided to make a "space station" to display some of my light up ships. I took an old lamp and the turntable off an old record player and ran a Christmas tree light set and ran it up the middle and cut holes out to put some of the lights through. I then wrapped the body of the lamp with black shelf paper. I love it! You can tell that i'm not too good at this stuff, but it was fun.

Thank you Tabitha (that is your name right? trying to remember names iso screennames). Do you mean the white and light blue cards with the stars on them? That is a set which I've bought for only €5 and made myself from a desription.

What did you do this weekend?
Eventhough you don't have a camera, you can tell us and describe it to us

Hahaha, that is too funny

Today I've been crafty again. Just a little though.
With thread I've made stars in paper. From a model I've made little holes in paper to make the shape and from there I've made stars.
They're cute, but I can't show a picture as I've put everything away already

This is what I've been working on the past week (okay it took me only 1 hour orso) and I'd like to use these pieces on Christmascards for next year.

Yes it is.
From a sample I've put holes in the paper and with a special thread and very thin needle I've made the stars.
There's so much you can do with embroidery on paper

Some photos of crafts which I've made.

This angel I've made from a picture.

This angel I've made from a pattern.

The doll I've also made from a pattern, the rabbit I've bought as a package and put together myself.

Those are great! I sure hope I recieve a Xmas card from you!

With my crafting skills, I should start working on one now! Maybe by xmas, they won't look too embarassing!

in about 10-11 months a new thread will probably be made for Christmascards.
If you sent me a PM by then, you might get lucky
Lucky in receiving a home made Christmascard that is...
Of course I would one back as well

Oh! you have a Michael's near you? Cool

[offtopic]If you are like Erin and use a regular stamp, it seems to arrive here, but regular cards-in-envelope need 94cts. But that's the price now, I don't know if the stamp price will change in 11 months.
So I guess you never received anything from across the Atlantic? [/offtopic]

Yes. We our Michaels! We also have a Jo-Ann Fabrics with EVERY thing fabric and arts related!

[offtopic] 94cts!! Thats high, but surprisingly not that bad. I just hope it doesn't become too much more expensive! Erin had a great idea! Its great beating the system! *sssshhhh! Don't tell anyone*

Well... once, I've recieved a letter from my uncle in Germany about two years ago, but he sent his email address with it so we responed electronically.[/off topic]
