Steel Pressed toy cars and trucks

Hello,

I enjoy restoring old metal toys.
Below you will find a few from my collection of Tonka. Back in the day, in the late 60s,
early 70s, Tonka made the VW Beetle and the Jeep Wagoneer for their car haulers.
Unfortunately, some of these old cars were played with so much, their plastic parts -
(Bumpers, headlights and windshields) didn't hold up very well and thus, could not be salvaged.

So you make due with what you either have or you find similar parts to work.
Just the same, I enjoy taking them apart, cleaning, them, media blasting the bodies,
applying etching primer and paint in their original colors. Here are a few of my restored cars
on the restored car haulers.
