Merry Volksmas!

I got this idea last year when my roommate and I nicknamed our house "Casa de Volkswagen" (she and I both own VWs) and we both come from a VW owning/ loving families. I joked that I should take the last original hubcap that Gina came with and somehow make a wreath for our door decorating it with Volkswagen themed items rather than your typical berries/ bows/ ribbons and bells.

Here's what I came up with...(will try to get better/more pictures. Camera started to die while taking the "completed" pictures this AM )

These are the items I used:
1- 16" VW Hubcap
2-foam sheets (black)
4- bottles of "puff paint" (various colors)
1-box cutter
1-9ft length of garland)
(crayons and doggy pictured but not used )






I've never really considered myself an "artist" and my drawings typically suck so I figured I'd play it safe and attempt to draw out the different symbols before actually free-handing them onto the foam


Traced the "stencils" onto foam




After they were cut and painted








ALL DONE!
