Default Rocker panel?

I recently bounced off a curb causing my rocker panel to be dented and scraped. The body shop wants $510 to fix it.I want to fix it myself.

Where an I get a replacement rocker panel?I bought a repair manual for my beetle and it does not describe how to repair or change out a rocker panel, anyone have any tips/steps to do this?

You can buy rockers from the dealer, but they're weld-in parts since they're part of the unibody.

My advice is go for the $510.

I agree. I had both of mine replaced a couple months ago and they gave my body guy a real rough time.
