Default Any tips for cleaning post snow & salt?

I moved to North Carolina from South Florida and had never even seen snow until some flurries two months ago, today we had about 8"! I know Herbie needs a very good cleaning as soon as it warms up and the roads are clean. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I go to an automatic just to make sure the undercarriage gets clean. Not much hand washing going on around Chicago in the winter

Keep it as clean as possible. I try and wash Zoomer at a BRUSHLESS car wash once a week! Afterward tho ... if it is cold outside ... my doors freeze shut so, be careful!

Brushless auto car washes will become your best friend. It gets the undercarriage and you can pay a little extra to dry it. It doesn't completely dry it but it gets a lot of the water off which is good in freezing weather so your doors don't freeze shut.

Washing my bug is too expensive and not really worth it without a garage =/

I MIGHT take it in for a wash if it's not gonna snow again. Dirty bug, I haven't washed it since...August?

I pay the extra $$ for the undercarriage cleaning shortly after they've been out salting the roads and the car is looking really bad. That salt is soo bad for your brakes, it really needs to come off. As a matter of fact, I had the car cleaned tonight.
