Post How to paint interior

I know this has been discussed many times. I get the basic idea of painting the interior door panels (plastic part and door sills). Can someone confirm my "basic knowledge" please.

1. Sand. (wet or dry sand)---question...what are the benefits of a wet sand vs. dry?
Do you want to use a very fine sand paper? i would assume so...but idk.
What about the paint on the door sills? Just peel and sand it off?

2. Prime. What kind of prime do you use?
Do you do 3-4 coats or less? I really don't know.

3. Paint. 3-4 light coats, let dry all the way through and don't let drip!

4. Gloss. Is gloss necessary? What are the benefits? 3-5 coats right?

Other questions--- do you sand in between priming or painting? if so how many times? are there any other tips or anything that you could help me with. It is a first for me. Last but not least, thanks for taking your time to help the clueless car owner of venson!

The only thing I'd correct you on is maybe 2-3 LIGHT coats. Not 3-4....Just my opinion

aww..thanks, yeah the more research i do the more i see that with the right paint and spray techniques the less coats you actually need to do. Thanks for the times, maybe i will try doing it tomorrow or sometime this month for sure!
