Hubcap cap/emblem issue
So here's the deal. I drive a silver '00 NB and I woke up this morning to see that someone has helped themselves to one of my hubcap emblems. I need to know a couple things - if I call a salvage yard, what's the proper term for that thing and do you think it would be an expensive replacement?
My poor Buggy has been through it all.

Emblems
I chipped off the clearcoat,and I am planning on either painting them of replacing the black with adhesive backed vinyl.You can remove them with Dental Floss back an forth with a sawing motion!

I would buy just the emblem alone on eBay. I have had really bad luck with my center cap emblems so I just keep a stock of emblems around and I put them on with a 2-part epoxy. So far, I've never lost one that's been put on with epoxy. I think I got four emblems on eBay for about $15.
