Vinyl Wrap idea

So I was looking at my dinged up hood and I got an idea. I was thinking it might be cool to do vinyl wrapped black hood, roof, and trunk. I already wanted to do the roof when the weather permited, but why not do the hood and trunk too while i'm at it!
My vinyl eyelids have lasted incredibly, not a scratch or anything.

I know the hood is a much larger area, but considering it's already got a lot of little nicks, an improperly removed sap scar, and as of two days ago...no emblem >_<

I figure a vinyl wrap that won't look too great in a couple years is better than nothing.

I don't have much experience with that stuff, so any words of wisdom?

i'm planning on doing my hood in plaid vinyl. i had the hood priced at 130 for the material printed. and 50 to install. thats kind of pricy. if you have access to a paint gun. you could paint your hood roof and trunk for about 100 in paint materials.
