My wife's 2000 Neue Beetle took on nearly three inches of water during very heavy rain last week.
It does NOT have a sunroof.... repeat: no sunroof. We have a lot of trees on our block, and I am certain the drains in fresh-air intake of the cowl are blocked. The only drain mentioned in Haynes is for the A/C, and is located on the front side of the firewall. I am assuming there are drains at each corner of the cowl, near or in the door pillars, but I can't find any drain holes or tubes... Where / what am I looking for ? ( PS: I had the cowl plenum cover / screen out back in the fall to repair loose wiper linkage and cleaned-out a lot of debris then; I am planning on doing this again, but also want to make sure all the drains are clear...) Thanks in advance ! ![]() KdFwagen |
