Default Painting Question...

hiya - Daisy Revolution is a 2002 Sport and the 17" wheels she came with have removable inserts between the spokes (please forgive if my terminology is not correct!) and i want to paint them...

my question is - do i need to do any prep-work before priming them? and do i need a special sealer/top coat because they go on the wheels?

thanks in advance!

is there anyone who can help? I'd really like to start primering but want to know if i need to do anything first... and then if there is a special clear/top coat i should use for the plastic wheel inserts...

Mine had already lost the inserts before I bought her but I would think that a light sanding is always a good idea when priming/painting plastic.

Jeff (aka DZLBUG) was able to answer my question - no primer needed - but sand with 320 grit to get the shine off - and then use a wheel paint and follow the directions of the paint...

the 1st one is done - only 19 more to go!
