I just finished replacing my core support. The old one had a huge chunk missing off the bottom piece, leaving nothing to attach my new grill to. Sorry did not take any pictures. This post should answer some questions people might have.
You’ll need to remove the whole front clip. ![]() You WON”T need to drain the radiator or evacuate the A/C system. I used a stiff cardboard box to support the radiator and condenser unit while I removed the core support. Time: Budget about 3-4 hours to do this job. It was hot today I worked slowly. Tools: Huge roll of blue masking tape to protect edges, T25 and T30 Torx bits, 10mm socket ¼ drive set, 13mm socket 3/8 drive. While you’re in there: Now is the perfect time to clean you condenser, as you really can’t do a good job once the bumper cover and grill are installed. |
