Default Caliper question: retaining clip

Hello,

I am preparing to paint my calipers, and I do not plan to remove them to do so. However, I am wondering about the wire retaining clips on the front brakes. Can I remove them, paint the calipers, and reinstall the clips safely? Or will everything fall apart or require readjustment if I do this? I have scoured the Internet but cannot find this answer.

Thanks!

Jer

You can just take the clips off, paint, and replace. That's exactly what I did with mine.
