Looking to buy four, since I have none on my beetle.

Those on Ebay are not what you're really looking for. they're much smaller, and go into the centerbore, the ones you're looking for are beetle-specific.

No other vw came w/these wheels, and those covers.

You might have to buy a set of hubcaps to replace the missing emblem.

I think you can get a set of 4 centercaps complete with emblems for around $50

You have 90mm diameter emblems.
about 1/2 off from vw dealers and they are aluminum too, same as original.
Thank you! I'll look into this today.

Macdave- Although I don't want to replace the whole center, $50 isn't a bad deal if I have to. Thanks!

Well I took someone suggestion from another thread and called George from needasticker.com (and referred to Kenny).
He's making them and selling them for $20 for a set of four, shipping included.

Much better than anything I've seen.

Well I hope they fit your rims right. Mine are pretty dated (10 years). Plus I could have the background or VW any colour I chose

Mine will be here this week.

Default Dissatisfied and whatnot.

So I received my so-called emblems in the mail Friday. I'm completely dissatisfied with them, for starts.

1. Not what I was expecting. Instead of being aluminum, they're vinyl. I didn't ask for a sticker. This guy does Biodiesel emblems for the backs of cars (like how on the back of a car it states "hybrid" "firebird" "charger" etc. I wasn't expecting a piece of crap sticker.

2. Being a sticker, they're flat. Of course this covered the area pretty awfully. Creases, you name it.

3. The adhesive is ridiculously weak.

So, I plan on getting my money back. I'm not happy at all. SO, where do I get the legit aluminum ones for cheap? Is it cheaper to buy the whole hub cap?

monkey: How are yours?

The origanls ones are not aluminum at least not on my 2000 Beetle. They were plastic with a VW emblem in the center. I just did a quick search on Ebay lots of folks are selling just one. Good luck in finding a set.

Before I bought my Turbo S, I needed the same ones for my 2001 and the only place I found them was from where cjfbio2 posted.

I actually bought a set another member here didn't need.
I might even have a couple of them still if you're interested.

I'd need two sets (all four, basically).

on the 99's they were a metal emblem.i have found these whole caps.that is all your going to find.at least that'd all I found when I went to try and buy mine. I am going to buy the actual center pieces found on other vw's and keep the monte carlo style wheel (that it's the name of the style of wheel btw). if you find the centers they usually run about 30a pop.so yeah x4 then you'll be ready to go. good luck with your quest!

This thread might be helpful. It has two links for center cap vendors.

Funny, that you went full circle.
cjfbio2 posted a link to the guy that makes those almost 3 weeks ago.

I have those exact centers and the fit is perfect. I also bought the cheap crap vinyl ones and I know what you mean about them being garbage.

The Toledo parts ones are what you need!

I have not had the chance to try either; but I am leaning toward the vinyl ones because I can get them in my NB Yellow.
