Default New Headlights Woes

I've just recently bought some new headlights from this website as was recommend to me by a couple other members here. That is actually from Ebay, but that link is to their actual website. When I got them, all looked good with them! I was excited to have a new lens!

Unfortunately, my plan to just put the new lenses on the old headlights didn't quite playout correctly because they sit EVER so slightly differently.

Plus, with my recent purchase of Xenon Projectors, i had to move everything over to the new headlights as well. Then i noticed VERY small little bits and pieces were different. But i got everything moved over.

Next I tried to mount them in the car. Here we go again with being SLIGHTLY different! They didn't catch with the lever. Something that normally takes me 2 minutes to do took me about 2 hours! When I finally got them situated, there was a big gap on the top of the headlights, large enough to fit my finger through. I forced and jiggled, but they didn't sit properly.

Fustrated enough as I was with them, I decided the heck with it and close enough was close enough. Then I try to adjust them... The adjusters are now BEHIND the lever so I can't adjust them without taking the assembly all the way out and putting them back in to do so.

Close to giving up, i decided to turn them on to check the aim, and the passenger side doesn't work at all! I tried swapping the bulbs, plugging everything up on different sides and such, and still nothing. The wiring is just bad. I was JUST about to swap the wiring harness from my old headlights then i remembered the hell i went through trying to get to that point.

So i emailed the seller about a refund. I'll let you guys know how that goes when I get a response. I told them about the bad fitment, the non adjustabillity, and the fact that one side doesn't work, so I hope they will accept them back

In the mean time, i desperately want/need new headlights. Anyone have any recommendations on where I can buy new headlights that will work the first time? Local dealership was charging $360 per side .... So hopefully something cheaper than that...

Try here: Car Lights Wholesale

I've used these guys for years and the quality and fitment of all their lights is great.
Hope it works out for you. The only problem you might have is in retrofitting the HID's into the stock lights. Not sure how that will work but maybe you'll have good luck with them

Thanks! I've become a pro at removing the old projectors and putting in the new ones! I've done it waaaaaaay more times than anyone ever should to any one car
