Default Flat paint scheme?

I was just wondering if anyone has seen any examples of flat paint on a NB? I'm a bit of a rat rod fan (understatement) and with how retro the lines are on a NB I'm wondering what would happen if you combined the two??

I've been toying around with a few different ideas for my little lady and I keep coming back to the flat black idea...

Flat black works. I like this one.

Only problem would be the paint getting polished over time. Eventually it would have shiny spots.

Thumbs up MORAV Likes!

I think they are doing that with a satin clearcoat. But I guess you forget the wax, and thus no UV or pollutant protection. But I guess you could always keep it covered, and not drive it much. Great for a show car, but not much else.

I do have to admit it's sharp looking. Saw it done on a Chevy Hot Rod (below) with flames and loved it. Think this scheme would be killer on the Bug pictured!

You just add a flattener to the clearcoat. You can make it as flat or glossy as you want plus add the protective properties of a nice clear at the same time with no "chalking" like flats do.
