so yeah... she's mine faults and all.
the side rocker panel on pass side has been damaged, im going to try and get it off and see if anything is under it. crap-- between needing 225 40R18 tires for the rims that came on it, i also need to price new bumpers? grumble grumble. thanks! |

So yesterday I got really really lucky!!!
The side panels were so broken in parts and coming off the actual car... they pretty much fell off. No sticky residue leftover, it had been so worn off over the years. I didn't even see much damage. I just had remove a few bolts underneath the frame, and presto original side! I know that doesn't make ANY sense, but the point was, I got the side skirts off with no damage to the original underneath. Now, to see if one of my local body shops has any ideas on altering the front and back bumpers... I'm going to try to alter the look of them rather than run out and buy replacement OEM parts. I also was able to get the 18" rims off and miraculously the stock 16" full size spare fit on the car WITH the current kit and didn't rub or anything. So, now I'm replacing those rims with steel 16" rims and getting some wheel covers to make it pretty. I will post pics soon. |
