I have a 2004 New Beetle GL. I'd like to replace the front grill with the one with the fog lights. I picked up a new switch at a wrecking yard that has the fog light position, and have been looking at grill assemblies. My question. Did VW pre-wire the cars, or did they use a model-specific wiring harness? I know on several other cars I've owned, all the wiring was in place for other options, so it was easy to retrofit.
