When we did Evilina's interior, the first test piece we cleared, we had a reaction called fish eye due to contaminents in the air. We fixed that ASAP. The engine cover is missing the emblem Id like to find a new one. We did do this at home and had no problems with fish eyes. I bought anti fish eye stuff that went directly to the paint.

Overall the painting went well. We removed everything from the car (wing, emblems, door handles ect) except the fenders. He sprayed then first in the creases and you cant even tell we didnt take them off. The paint went in there and covered well!

Right now we are having some problems with the doors. We put her together to go for a ride and once we got to where we were going the doors wouldnt open. idk if we messed with the alarm or what but after they automatically locked they didnt wanna open. Finally by luck they got the driver side door open..the passenger still stuck..we are working on that today.

also another problem we came across was my driver side tail light was broken and glued in...so I'm without it until the ones I ordered came in.

Despite the missing door handle and tail light I took her out yesterday and got a ton of compliments It made me pretty happy.


she is deff still a work in progress but once we get all this fixed I will post some more pics

Update on martha: We just now got the door fixed! tomorrow hopefully if all goes well the door panels will be installed and she will be back to normal! I'm so ready! and will post some pictures!

it was beautiful, actually I just painted my beetle pink a month ago, and the color is pretty much like Martha's... I never ever get a nice photo of it, it is super pink on real life, but when I take a pic, it looks reddish, very annoying...
