Just wanted to post a few before pictures! The one of the drivers door is where she was keyed. we started sanding yesterday so more pictures to come soon!

I have been sanding all day!! we are getting soo close. The only thing I have left to sand are the door panels. We had to try to fix one the best we can because I cannot find one anywhere around here. I started an album on facebook and made it public. So excited to see Martha and her HOT new color!! Where did you end up getting the paint? And what is the name of this fab color pink?

Are you going to redo the headliner? Or is that pink going to match?

I got the paint from a local paint shop. They didnt have the color I wanted to I went to wal mart and found a gift bag the color I wanted and they made it.

I was just thinking about the headliner..Idk if it will match I figured I will just wait and see how it looks. I REALLY hope it matches

The first one is my poor door panel. It's broken and I have looked at/called all the junk yards around here with no luck. Made a 2 hr drive to a pick a part to find they had NO beetles

I've seen your door pic on my phone and its hard to make out but what is the issue with your door? The door panel that is.

where the panel actually attaches to the door broke. Part of the handle that you use to pull it shut is broke and there were some cracks in it. My bf used some kind of stuff to strengthen it so hopefully it will last until I can find one.

Can't wait to see her painted! Oh I sent you a friend request on fb! That sucks about the door panel. I know how you feel, Im having a heck of a time finding a replacement for mine... Hopefully the work your bf did will fix it!

I think it will hold up until I can find another..but you can still see the big crack in it

Nice. Your beetle will look great in pink. The interior also looks great in pink. You should change the color of your steering wheel to pink. Your beetle will look hot afterwards.

Thanks Didn't get her painted today. ran into some problems and had to run into town a few times to get different things. Hopefully if all goes well tomorrow she will be painted!

i'm very interested to see the outcome of this, but i have a silly question. is it the angle that the roof is at relative to the camera or something else that it looks like the car is all sanded except for that area?
