Default Help! Removing Door Mirror Trim?

I tried to get this part off the door today and I couldn't figure it out for the life of me.

I found two clips on the front of the door and it was sort of coming but it looked like some kind of bracket in the middle of the piece was going to break off and I didn't want to ruin it. Does this have to come off with the door rubber or what? I couldn't find anything about this part in the Bentley manual.

Help?

Did you figure it out? I'm having the same issue, could you share your solution?

Here you go, the exterior cover removal is different, based on your year, I have posted both.

This should be all you need. P/m me if you need something further

You have to pull the window seal out and there's a Philips screw in there.
