Default Paint fading

We have just purchased our first NewBeetle !!! Fun to drive ooo yaaaaaahh !!

It's a beautiful Cyber Green, 2000 TDI, but the paint is fading
differentially! The color on the metal doesn't match that on the plastics. Previous owner never waxed it! How do I bring these colors back together, and how do I protect the finish?

thanks to you all!

The paint won't ever look exactly the same for Cyber Green on the plastic and metal. Mine looked a bit different fresh from the factory.

I'd say a good claybar, wax/polish should help keep it looking it's best.

I've only had mine for 2 weeks, while waxing it today I noticed the color was a bit off also (yellow).

My 2000 Cyber Green GLS has this problem too.
I'm wondering when I get the rest of the ATS kit if I have ot get it custom painted to the faded color.

I haven't noticed any fading yet on my 04. Hopefully it doesn't happen. I like my cyber green the way it is.

Mine's faded too..

I had a Jeep back into my door (wtf), anyway, the paint job on that door is awesome, it's blended from true cyber green to lighter cyber green and back to make it look like the old door.

the other day I was out with my aunt and she noticed another NB and said "look a green one! but it's not the same green as yours"

I sadly had to reply "yeah its the same, mine is just so faded "
