Exclamation Stripping tape

Now that I have you attention. I scored the charactere side skirts a few years ago really really cheap. They have foammy double sided tape on them that held them on for the previous owner. How do I get it off? I've been using a putty knife which works for some but not all of it. Is there an easier way to get it off???

Cool

I've had success using "Goo Gone" or the even more potent "Goof Off" to remove very old and/or stubborn adhesives from painted surfaces. "Goof Off" is extremely flammable. Both can be found at Home Depot. Should you choose "Goof Off" try some in an inconspicuous area to see if there is a chemical reaction with the side-skirt material. If you choose "Goo Gone", apply liberally and let it soak. Good luck...

Goo Gone will leave an oily residue, make sure to clean the surface really well before re-spplying new tape.

Goof Off will likely dissolve the foam tape. Last week I placed a little in a disposable condiment cup and it dissolved the cup in under ten minutes (That was not my intended application).

If you want to be non-chemical, using something with orange oil. It's non corrosive and won't give off any band fumes. Also when you are done, clean with vinegar and water.
