Sorry, been away from the computer, but not the phone! I've been on with the shop a number of times and heard a number of hang-ups they were having. After all of that, however, I finally got word yesterday that the hardtop headliners have shipped out. I'm getting ready to send tracking numbers to everyone and it looks like all hardtop headliners should be there by next Tuesday.

Please let me know how everything looks when they get there!

been gone for a week in florida , mine came while i was gone , still in the box right now ,, now to lay out the flames ,, or leave it black and put it in buckwheat and use it for a notepad ,,,,hmmmm decisions ,, herbie will probably win out though since his factory is just starting to let go around the cubby hole ,, i need to see if i can transplant it to the glass unit

I got my headliner last Tuesday or so, but have been so busy I haven't had a chance to even open the box yet.

I hope it doesn't look like pm22071985's -- I was planning to put it in as-is, without painting.

I guess it was on page 2 of this thread that I posted that the holes weren't cut out. I'm sorry, pm, that I didn't remember to mention the cutting to you. On an upnote, I had to cut through some fiberglass a few years ago for a mod and it cut very easily and shaped very well. As for the finish I don't know what to say about a best option. What I had seen from the site looked clean. The primer was because of roughness around the front.

Love Machine, was this the same company yours came from? Or had Russ made yours?

Russmade mine. I think I was one of the first to purchase this. Though, it didn't fit just right, as you can see in the pic, I had to use ruber sealing to cover the hole on the sides. I think it was made off of a normal headliner which caused it to be off in the measurment. It looks like the black one from this new shop seems to be the one to go with. Anyway, I love it! It is such a cool feeling to ride around and have that above you!

I had been under the impression that holes for model year 1999+ roofs (with large cubby hole instead of clock, grab handles, rear seat lights, etc.) weren't cut out, but I thought that the small hole for the clock on the '98s would be. And it still might be; I still haven't opened the box to check...

I had also been thinking that the hole was going to be cut out for the clock on the '98s. I guess the way I understand it from the shop was that the finish wasn't as smooth as they had hoped it would be in that area, so it seems that in giving it a better surface they covered the whole area, not leaving rough edges.

I've been checking around town for a good airbrush artist to manage mine, and I think I'll do all the cutting after I get it painted. I need to get moving on it pretty fast to have it ready for shows!

For those of you still waiting on the sunroof version, I've most definitely not forgotten about you. I'm still in regular contact with the shop trying to figure out when they will get this done. I'm not letting up by any means! I unfortunately do not have a firm schedule still. I'm staying on top of it and trying to get things moving as quickly as I can! If you have any more concerns or would like any more information please feel free to contact me through PM or email.

There will only be a group order for the sunroof version now. Hardtop orders have to go through the shop, and their standard price has actually gone up, I believe. If interested in a sunroof version please send me a PM and I'll get you the details. As for a timeline, I'm still in communication with the shop. There's a new guy starting soon and I'm hopeful that will get them the hands they need to get this going. The hangup right now is that the mold needs to be made, and they have to have enough time to dedicate to just that so it comes out right. I know it's frustrating having to wait so long (believe me, I know!) but I think it would be even worse to get garbage from them. I'm pushing to get this done.
