Default WTB fog light lower valance and grille

As title states. With fogs present would be a big plus. L041 black would be a major plus

I hate to oust Nor, but I am willing to trade my fog grill for non-fog!! It's painted black, semi-gloss already. lenses are in good shape and lights work great.

Thanks, and thanks Nor. I don't know if it's a direct swap between the 1998 and 2001... anyone know?
BTW, VWUS- what's the condition of yours? Mesh on mine has two small breaks, nothing major. All of the hardware is intact and perfect though.

I'll get a close up pic either this evening or tomorrow and get that off to you. I will check again, but I'm sure there aren't any broken mesh pieces. No rips or tears in the plastic valance either that I've noticed and all attachment points are intact. Again, I'll verify and get a pic off to ya.
I also think 98 to 01 are 100% interchangable.

You need to check and see if your grill will come out from the front, or if you need to remove the front bumper and fenders..... that's the two ways, and I think judging by the thread listed below, yours IS different and much harder. Even if it would fit, I wouldn't want to rip mine apart right now if the one you would trade needed to have that stuff pulled. Let me know what you find, and here's the thread:

I am still interested though, and I hope yours is the easy one and of course I hope mine is too!

I read thru that thread as well as the link in the 1st post and all I take from it is differing opinions. Marvins_dad states the bumper and fenders need to come off. Calisto9, who has an 01 like yours said the job was straight forward and about 45 minutes time and pulled straight out from the front. Reading further someone states that 98 to 01 are the same and that 02 was the design change. I'll go out today and see if I can feel for all the attachment points and possibly do a trial run. In any case, our scenario might not work since I really don't want to be without my grille till you send me yours. And overnighting the pieces would probably cost $35 bucks. I'll get back to you tho.

I'm game if it will work. Overnighting a small package once cost me $35, I imagine something this large would be way more.

Default front lower valance removal for my 1998

Step 1. Get down low enough to check things out.
Step 2. Realize that there wasn't anything but the hooked plastic clips holding mine in
Step 3. Slowly pull straight forward to remove valance.
Alternate step 4. Take 2 pictures of said valance/grille.
Step 4. Replace valance.
Step 5. Mental note to zip tie in a few places before my next ride.

Total time, under 6 minutes and 2 of those we're getting my lard a$$ up off the ground

My valance/grille has no broken grids nor broken mounting tabs, chips, dings or scrapes

Zeus, I'll PM you with an alternate plan.

OK, I decided to source (new) the items I needed separately. Since I don't have fogs currently on my car and don't have access to a car with them for a reference I need some help. I bought left and right fogs, a fog grille and fog valance. Is there another piece that goes on the outside of the grille? Should be two fog bezels connected by a bar type thing? I wasn't able to find this part doing an internet search. Anyone got one?
