I love mine. It doesn't interfer with my driving at all. The only problem I have is I can't see the lower left corner of my Gps. I did what MiG said and shut off the vent and put screw in the back to hold it in place.

I'm looking at a TomTom - would this mount be compatible with it?

I like the idea, however, can't justify giving up the air conditioning vent in the summertime. If I buy one for wintertime use will the vent melt the mount?

I have heard from several people that the mount warped and melted because of the vent. Have the bugs been worked out of this product?

I think the warping was caused by the general heat inside the car caused by the sun while parked.
The weight of the unit alone would do it.
I have never left my GPS in the car and baking in the sun while I'm not in it so I have not had any problems like this at all.
Then again I'm in Canada. It's always cold up here!!

Thanks so much MiG! I sent you a PayPal Payment.

YEAY! I am so excited! I was hoping it would be done before my journey to Roswell.

I have 4 mounts left and ready to go.
To those that I promissed one to, please come forth because I don't have any of the PM's that were sent to me and I don't remember who you are. Even better, if you forward my PM reply back to me where I promissed you one. You may still get one this batch. It's the only way I can be fair at this point.

You are brilliant! I want one of these mounts, but I still don't have my own GPS. In Baltimore here, we can't leave the charger cable where thief could see, don't even think about GPS itself.

Got my custom GPS mount today. LOVE it! Thanks so much MiG! It looks FANTASTIC, and I know it will work great for my trip to Roswell.

My only complaint is the ball and socket seems to really loose in some positions. The ones that I want the GPS in.

Not to go too far off topic as i wanted to catch you while you're on, but didn't you have one for some kind of bluetooth device too?

No problem,
The custom Garmin mount is still the same. I use it for my GPS and my Bluetooth. What I did was modify the visor clip that came with the MOTOROLA bluetooth device and merged it with an extra Garmin attatchment.
The Bluetooth attatchment is not available as it is too complex to duplicate.

Look here in my bug thread for more details and pictures. It might better explain what I'm trying o say.
