Default WTB: Driver Door Lock Mechanism - Have Bad Switch!

Just a feeler until I get confirmation that a microswitch will resolve Bluenote's issues (or everything just hits the fan and I chose to make this the first part to replace).

WHERE'S that money tree?????????? Need a couple of branches

Bluenote is a 99 GLS with wonky interior lights, non depressing locks/lit LED upon using the remote to lock/set alarm and also haphazard hit-or-miss alarm going off when: car is unlocked, driver door opened, alarm may or may not go off (doesn't happen everytime) and the last symptom I can think of at this hour is that after the car has sat, sometimes when I open the driver door to get in, no interior lights, no sound of the fuel pump/system(?) priming (the sound from the rear right/passenger side of the car)

Have contacted J to see about hooking up a VAG-COM before this request is set in stone. All I know is that 3 years ago when this happened, it drove me absolutely crazy - and that's a short ride but a used switch has lasted me 3 years.

Am looking for a used part that is not known to be on the side of failure, price of new part - don't know if I can swing it without any job/income - does anyone know the part #/price for new?

Thanks - any and all help appreciated!
Beth

Thumbs up Thanks to growler for info!

Ok, now I know that a micro-switch is the culprit but it's also a part of the door lock mechanism - thanks to growler - the part I'm looking for is 3B1837015AS (well, the "S" of the part number was what the rep at 1stvwparts told me I needed).

Appreciate any help from anyone on this, I know I need to do my homework too but am putting this out there if anyone has one laying around.
