They go up for sale occasionally. Which model do you have and how new is it?

Potential buyers need to be aware that while they will be buying a fully-functioning unit, they will not have product and troubleshooting support from Ross-Tech. You would need to contact them, tell them you bought it second-hand, and pay a one-time registration fee to receive that very valuable service.

Good luck with your sale.

Right. According to their FAQ, the software license is non-transferrable. So while you will be able to use and auto-enable (with the newer cables), they want you to pay the $99 software license fee to get any technical support.

This Vag Com was for a 2000 1.8T Beetle. I also have a VW New Beetle Repair Manual CD. As for price Im thinking $99, and you pay shipping.

I would think there should be no issues with your '99. Its an OBDII code reader, with more advanced functionality. I've used a VAG-COM on my '99 with no problem.

This Vag-Com was purchased from AWE Tuning. I have the sales receipt. According to AWE Tuning, they sell two types, one application is for a Auto transmission and the other is for a manual. Im not sure what the difference is. Im sure they could explain. The one I have was bought to use with the auto trans.

There is no difference. Vag-Com works on both automatic and manual cars.

I'm guessing it is just a function of their website software or the person designing it.
