I want another set of tires, but shipping them more than halfway across the country is not cost effective for my budget.

It's spring now, no longer looking for winter rims. Didn't really need them this year any way. If you were closer I'd shoot you an offer.

I still have them... but shipping them across the country would not make much sense for either one of us.
Shipping alone would be over $200 bucks, based on total shipping weight of ~200 lbs (tires + wheels). But I guess if you're willing to pay $500 for them, that's your choice. |

BUMMMMMP!I saw the other for-sale thread missing tires... so I dug my FS thread out of the attic. Apparently there are cheaper methods to ship these, so I'm basically looking for $50 bucks each (16" Rim + OEM Michelin tire) + shipping. Let me know! If you're curious, they've been in the garage so they haven't seen the elements (moisture or UV) for about a year and a half. |

FYI - Greyhound Bus, No boxing required. I have done this a couple times. Probably abt $100-$125 anywhere in the Continental US.
Excellent deal, wish I needed the tires. I'd buy and then sell the rims. MORAV |

How would this work? Do I just rope the 4 of them together and bring it to a Greyhound Bus Depot? Maybe 2 by 2? Does the buyer need to pick them up at the Greyhound Bus Depot? |

What's shipping to 07083? I've bought wheels from CA b4 and shipping wasn't that bad.

I'm new to this Greyhound thing, so maybe I'm reading the website wrong, but it's telling me that shipping will be $96.35 from Oceanside (San Diego) to Newark, assuming a 100-lb total shipping weight.
I'll have to go home and weigh them to give you a better number - but that is already much cheaper than I had ever thought-possible. |

Downside is you have to drop them off at Greyhound and they have to be picked up at the other end! But cheap way to do it! Good luck! Somebody ought to jump right on these! PS - Love your avatar! MORAV |

OK! I got a chance to weigh them - they're 45lbs each... rim & tire.
So shipping to New Jersey with Greyhound total will be $60.10 each. For comparison, ground shipping with UPS, dropped at your doorstep, would be $60.59. So shipping for all four will be ~$240 if they have to travel across the entire country. It'll undoubtedly be cheaper if they don't need to go cross-country. I'm shocked that the Gryhound chgs were that much. I guess they, like everything else, has gone up considerably in the last two years or their package shipping has greatly increased. Did you just price it for one and x4 or did you price it for four pieces.
Sorry it turned out to not be such a deal! MORAV |

Pending sale to jensdad.
I was just outside cleaning/loading them into the car, and I noticed that they're not Michelins (I could have sworn they were Michelins). They're actually Bridgestones. Definitely OEM though, and all 4 tires still have their nubs on them. ![]() |
