Don't know, but I will keep a watch here and see how that replacement works for you, IF you do it. I have a '99 and replaced the bent worn out antenna about 6 months ago. I used an OEM antenna and it works great and just took a twist on and off and I was done. But this carbon fiber one looks really cool and i would do it too if it works.:rolleyes

Looks like you just use the adapter with the right threads and screw it right on.

I actually saw one similar to this on Ebay, a few weeks ago, and was wondering the same thing. I would almost bet that it will swap right out. I have an XM radio equipped car, so my antenna base is different than most NBs but, The new Ringo, sold me a cool stubby antenna last year in Roswell that swapped right in. As long as the antenna has different sized, threaded adapters with it, you should be golden. That was the main problem for me, finding an antenna with the correct threaded adapter.

Carbon fiber would be SWEEEEEET! I wanna try to do the shark fin swap, but I am not sure if I am capable of that mod. Sounds like a pain in the rump.

Oh yes! The question I had about it was about it's ability to pick up the radio stations as well as the OEM antenna. I do not have satellite radio. Living in LA with great media I listen to am half time and an FM jazz station half time. I would hate to buy that cool carbon fiber antenna only to find that it doesn't pull in the stations as well, particularly my jazz station which doesn't get good reception in certain areas as is.
