Default Wanted

My jerk boyfriend got mad and punched my car dash where the air bag is.

Now I have a huge dent in my air bag cover and I can't find anywhere to replace this piece.

Also the center piece of my dash that goes around the stereo is cracked and I would like to replace this too.

I have 2006 convertible black interior.

Anyone have these parts or know where I can find them??

I have attached pictures of the items I am looking for, just in a better condition than these parts.

Thanks,

Jenny

Take your car to the dealership, with your jerk boyfriend. Get a estimate so dumbazz boyfriend can see how much his child like behavior is gonna cost. Make sure the schmuck pays to have it fixed. If he wont pay, kick him to the curb.

Don't settle for less than brand new IMO. It's very hard to find used interior parts in mint shape. The whole accident, removal of the part and shipping process always does damage.

Get rid of the boyfriend too. If he can't think for a second before damaging your things what's going to stop him from beating the crap out of you when he really gets mad?

For the center piece, sand it down and paint it to match your car! Its the best thing you/he can do and it doesn't cost much money to do either. Just search on here for dash painting.

Oh, and either he fixes it and paints it or he gets curb'd lol.

Glad to see you're still around! So did you boot the jerk to the curb that did this dastardly thing? I've seen several black airbag covers on eBay recently abt $70 and a couple radio bezels, about the same.

I'm a beliver that a leopard doesn't change his spots. Hope in this case he does, and the next time it's not you, Darlin'. I'll keep and eye open for your parts since I have an idea what you want (or are willing) to spend, if the poster doesn't come through for you. Post up the result of that.

Smile parts!

I was able to find the dash/air bag cover & the console.

Now I am just looking for the shift cover, which has been a real pain to find. Its not sold on its own, so I would have to replace the entire part VW Quoted me 375$. I'm holding out, there has to be one out there.

& I am still searching for a stock monsoon radio 06. Mine is in good physical condition but there is something wrong with it so if I have the radio on the station numbers are blurred really bad. I'm going to see if it can be fixed and compare the cost of a new one.

Its coming along ! My next project is installing all the parts. Looks like its going to be fun removing the dash lol

All the Best

Jen

Jen,

Someone else looking for the same shhifter cover in another post. I have seen them in chrome and billet, although they may be overlays. For the radio, here is a link where they do repairs, I think they are flat rated, I don't remember, but way cheaper than buying a used replacement as the CD and CD/SAT head units are still bringing significant dollars.
