Sorry to say but that wasn't the right one!! It arrived without the bracket and the plug socket on the bottom was at 45 degrees to the pump not 90 deg like I needed for my 1.8t (and sounds like you do too!)

I managed to find one for $50 that someone had bought & not fitted but there are new from business sellers on ebay for around $135 inc shipping.

Hey Kate,

Thanks again for the link. Mine arrived yesterday and I had it installed in no time. Genuine VW part, with the bracket (which I didn't need). Was a little dusty but it works perfectly (knock on wood). I replaced my combi valve as well, so I'm hoping that the new valve prevents the new pump from filling up with water and failing.

Great! Mine is sat here with 3 new mounts & waiting for my husband to fit for me... It would have been done sooner but he decided to buy a car from NC when we live in NV so has driven 2300 miles this week and a friend from England is in town so they have gone out for the night... I've got other plans for tomorrow afternoon though...
