A sample of how some of my photo's are being used

Recently I was hired to photograph the College's Annual Community Luncheon, aka the big fundraiser. It was attended by most, if not all, of the big names in the county which included Congressmen, Senators, Mayors, City council members, CEO's, a beauty pagent winner, and very rich members of the surrounding communities.

This board was the first thing the guests saw when entering. The photo's on the board are all mine with the exception of 3 of them. (The two bottom right shots, and top right and third from right are not my shots) The photo's used on the Annual report and "Facts and Figures" brochures on the table are also mine.

It was cool to be recognized by some of the more powerful people in the area, though I would bet that none of them know my name. They have seen me at several of the college's events. I even had one of the Congressmen call me by my name, which I thought was pretty cool until I remembered that I had a name tag on.

In a way it's cool to know that many people are seeing my work, but kinda sad that they don't know that it is my work they are seeing. Either way, I'm happy about it!

It's nice that your work is being seen by so many. Most people pay no mind to who shot the shot, just what the shot was. Good luck getting the recognition you deserve. You do great work

Its kinda cool to do public layouts like that and just listen to what is said about the pix. People will make more honest comments when that don't know you are there.

Thought I would share more examples! Due to work responsibilities I was not able to photograph last years Community Luncheon, but since I am a Gov't worker this year, I am off from my regular job.

Three of my portraits were used as a backdrop on the stage. (see photo!) It is always exciting to see my work being displayed in public, and where high profile leaders can see them (even if they do not know that I am the one that made the photographs!)

I also have several photo's in the Annual Report, which is sent to all the donors of the College. For the second year in a row, it was a calendar so my photos are seen throughout the year. I just read in our local newspaper's website, that the College got $106,320 in donations from 278 attendee's today! I'm sure bigger schools get more, but for a little community college, that is impressive!
