Exclamation January '07 Monthly Photo Assignment: Technology

This is going to take a bit of thought for some of you. (But I mean that is the best possible way!)

I want you to think about Technology. Of course the first thing that pops into my mind is computers, Electronics...etc. But what about Refridgerators, Hair dryers, Plastic spray Bottles...etc....They were all some kind of technology at some point in time.

You could even shoot something that used Technology to make your subject...like A bookcase (Where a machine was used to make the cuts) and so on....

So lets get creative and show me what you got!!!

I wanted to say that I enjoyed every single photo in the Dec thread! Everyone who posted is so talented with their photography! I want to try this out... but I have no clue how to adjust shutter speed and all that on my cheap lil camera. Maybe I can fart around with it and figure something out! Good luck to everyone and I am looking forward to see if anyone can top what was posted last month!

Booooooooo!!

That's purdy crappy Gina! The tele not working, not the photo! LOL!

I just took about 35 photos... and I think they're all horrible. I cannot get my camera to focus on anything; they're all blurry photos! I think my camera is only meant for taking photos of people standing still 5 feet from me...

Are you taking a picture of something real close like Justin did? Some digicams have a little button that allow the camera to focus when you're close to something. My camera has a picture of a flower

Ok, I'll play a little nicer now
Exhibit 1 shows a CD on my laptop - very techie, I think. Over at exhibit 2 is the power button from my Xbox 360, complete with flash and no doctoring.

Yea I've got the little flower. I tried taking photos close because they were more "artsy" looking... but the flower does not help. Like I said, it's a cheap lil digital camera- that I found!

Do you wait till the camera takes the pic before moving? I was having a hard time remembering that the pic isn't taken till the flash is done. I'm old school film and the digital took a while to learn.

I do, Ellen. And I even hold the button half way down to allow it to focus itself before I actual take the photo. Maybe I just don't have very steady hands... LOL!
